Feed the World
welcome to FEED THE WORLD
Our goal is to shed light on the urgent issue of food insecurity locally and globally.
Designed for students and young change-makers, FTW explores how community engagement and environmental science can come together to create lasting change in the fight against hunger.
At FTW, we empower students with knowledge and tools to make a positive impact in their own communities.

We'll focus on:
Local Actions, Global Impact
Discover how small actions, like volunteering at food banks, community gardening, or supporting local farmers, contribute to a larger global movement against hunger.
The Role of Environmental Science
Explore how environmental science connects to food security, including the impact of soil health, water resources, and climate change on food availability.
Youth Making a Difference
Hear inspiring stories from young activists and students who are taking action against hunger, showing how you, too, can create change.
Practical Steps for Students
Get actionable advice on how to raise awareness, start school initiatives, or even work with local nonprofits to address food insecurity.
Understanding Food Insecurity
Learn about the root causes of food insecurity, from economic inequality to climate change, and why hunger remains a pressing global issue.
Environmental and Sustainable Farming Practices
Learn how sustainable farming methods—like crop rotation, regenerative agriculture, and permaculture—can be part of the solution to food insecurity.
Experts on the Frontlines
Gain insights from environmental scientists, nutritionists, and nonprofit leaders who share the latest research and actionable tips on tackling food insecurity.
Food Waste & Food Recovery
Understand the impact of food waste on food insecurity and the environment, and learn about innovative food recovery efforts. Discover practical ways to reduce waste at home and how communities are working to rescue surplus food and redirect it to those in need.
Why is this important?
Food insecurity is a complex issue, but by understanding the role of community and environmental science...
...students can become part of the solution. Feed the World provides a roadmap for how you can make an impact, even as a student, and contribute to building a world where everyone has access to nutritious food.

Urban Agriculture: Community Gardens as Solutions
Let's investigate how community gardens in urban areas help alleviate food deserts and promote local food security. We'll share stories of communities thriving through collective gardening efforts.
